WinLock Professional Editor's ReviewWinLock Professional is a security tool designed to help you restrict the access to your PC and to protect your files by encrypting them.
The first thing you need to do after the program installation is to setup a password. The password will restrict the access to the program's features protecting it from unauthorized access. You can create separate profiles for each user account in case the computer is being shared by two or more individuals. There's also a 'remote administration' option, but in order for it to work, you need to have installed another program courtesy of the same producer.
The protection provided by this program covers pretty much all the sections of your system. You can disable items or block or restrict the access to the desktop, mouse and keyboard, disk drives, removable drives and system commands. You can also restrict Internet Explorer functions or commands and block websites. In case you decide to block access to websites, you can choose redirect the access to a blank page or a specified URL. Then, you can create custom lists containing items which will be out of reach, such as window captions, executable files and folders.
All events can be logged and the program can also notify the user when attempting to use a blocked feature. There's also a timer you can use for scheduling the computer lock.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: I believe this program needs some improvement in order to be truly a professional software.
